Making a Difference
Our Community Service Programs
Giving back to others is woven into daily life at the College. Guided by faith and compassion, students are encouraged to look beyond themselves and make a meaningful impact on the broader community.
Through a wide range of programs and student-led initiatives, the College community is empowered to make a difference, whether here at home or across the globe. These experiences not only support those in need but shape young people into thoughtful, grounded, and purpose-driven individuals.
A Spirit of Giving and Leadership
From the early years through to secondary school, students are encouraged to step into leadership through service. These programs create spaces for connection, courage, and kindness.
-
Coptic Orphans Fundraisers
Students regularly raise funds for Coptic Orphans through fun days, food stalls, and whole-school campaigns, blending joy with generosity. -
House Group Initiatives
A highlight on the calendar, Each House (St George, St Demiana, St Anthony, and St Marina) organises its own fundraising event, from car washes to carnival games, all driven by student leadership and teamwork. -
Walkathon
The Walkathon brings students together to walk in solidarity for a cause, raising funds and awareness while strengthening the school community.
Local & Global Outreach
Our community isn’t defined by school gates. Through outreach, mission, and connection, students learn to serve with open hearts, both locally and abroad.
-
Mission Trips
Students travel to Egypt, Cambodia, and the Philippines to support children’s programs, help renovate schools, and share their time and gifts with those facing hardship. These trips are often life-changing for students and the communities they visit. -
Homeless Night (Year 9)
This overnight event on campus invites students to experience, reflect, and respond to the realities of homelessness. Alongside prayer and discussion, students prepare and distribute COCOS care kits. -
COCOS Bag Initiative
Students collect and package essential items for care kits, which are distributed to people in need. It’s a practical and powerful way for young people to put love into action. -
Community Retreats
Our COS retreats allow students to grow in faith while serving others, from preparing meals to contributing to group reflections and spiritual activities.
Service Through Faith and Celebration
Many of our service projects are woven into the rhythm of school life, through celebrations, assemblies, and faith events that bring the whole community together.
-
Harmony Day & Easter Celebrations
Through music, art, and storytelling, students promote messages of unity and hope. These moments remind us of the beauty of diversity and the importance of walking together in love. -
Weekly Liturgies & Bible Studies
Students are invited to serve in the spiritual life of the college through weekly liturgies and group reflections, growing not just in knowledge, but in compassion and care.
A Lifelong Impact
Service at Saint Mark’s isn’t something extra, it’s central to who we are. Through every fundraiser, retreat, and outreach initiative, our students are becoming leaders who listen, serve, and uplift. They leave our College not just with knowledge, but with a heart for others and a readiness to make a difference.
