Where Are They Now — Goeliano George (Class of 2015)

What have you been up to since graduating?
After graduating from St Mark’s, I pursued a Bachelor of Education (Secondary: Humanities and Social Sciences) alongside a Bachelor of Arts (English). During the final year of my degree, I began my journey back at the College. Today, I serve as Head of English & Drama at St Mark’s, a role that allows me to give back to the very community that shaped me.

What has your journey at St Mark’s looked like since returning?
Returning to St Mark’s has been incredibly meaningful. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside teachers who once taught and mentored me — now colleagues and friends. After my first two years, I stepped into the role of Year Coordinator, serving in that capacity for three years before moving into my current leadership position. Each step has been an opportunity to grow, serve, and lead with purpose.

How did St Mark’s shape who you are today?
St Mark’s played a defining role in shaping both my character and my calling. The College instilled in me a deep sense of faith, service, and responsibility. The example set by my teachers — their care, dedication, and Christ-like service — continues to guide how I approach my work and leadership today.

What are some of your favourite memories from your time at school?
There are countless memories I carry with me — from camps and carnivals filled with joy and laughter, to the strong sense of cultural pride expressed through chants and performances. I especially remember whole-school assemblies, standing together in unity, grounded in faith. Above all, I remember feeling genuinely supported by teachers who walked alongside me through every stage.

Do you stay connected with the St Mark’s community?
Absolutely. Being part of the St Mark’s community is something I value deeply. I continue to be involved through mentoring students, participating in faith and service events, and supporting opportunities for alumni engagement. It’s a blessing to serve God’s children and contribute to shaping the next generation of godly, capable global citizens.
